We then got to Christmas, and with Christmas we get the great return of the Wymondham College friendship group as the majority of those that chose to leave Norfolk, return to spend Christmas with their families. This usually means that we can have a great meet up with us all. This happens so irregularly and honestly over COVID its something that I have really missed. These girls have been there through thick and thin and while we may be horrible to each other most of the time, we love each other dearly and our friendly roasting of each other had become something that I was missing through the various lockdowns.
We all agreed to meet in Norwich, trying to abide as much as possible by some sort of COVID safety, meeting outside and going for a walk instead of sitting in a cafe or restaurant. A few of people couldn’t make it, they didn’t come back for the holidays, they were being super COVID cautious and unfortunately COVID did get to one person but just before Christmas, 5 of us managed to get together for a wet and windy walk around Norwich. We took cliche’d pictures in the Tunnel of Lights, ate fish and chips and falafel and caught up on the trials and tribulations of life.
There is something incredibly humbling about still having a group of friends that I have mainly known since year 7. We’ve known each other for so long that there is a lot that never needs to be said. They will never judge me, they know me, and they have always been there for me. Let’s hope COVID allows a proper meet up soon.

For those that might be interested in some good places to get Fish and Chips/Falafel we went to two separate places, firstly the Grosvenor Fish Bar – trip advisor here; https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186342-d3207218-Reviews-Grosvenor_Fish_Bar-Norwich_Norfolk_East_Anglia_England.html
